NOLLYWOOD HEALTH CONVENTION

ABOUT US

We are a non-profit humanitarian organization committed to improving the health and well being of people living in rural communities. Special focus on diabetes.
Saving life for Africa Diabetes foundation was established by a group of highly talented and dedicated professionals from diverse walks of life, who have tasked themselves with the responsibility of taking health care delivery with special focus on diabetes, to rural interiors. This primary interest is based on the alarming rate of death recorded on daily basis, as a result of the lack of awareness, poverty and neglect.
Health issues in Africa have posed Herculean challenges to the continent’s governments and people. Although United Nations Organization through her various agencies such as World Health Organization, UNICEF and UNAID have at various times intervened and have immensely ameliorated some of the traumatic challenges, and maladies of malaria, polio, leprosy and other endemic diseases including HIV/AIDS, statistics show that people living in rural areas and villages in Africa, do not have adequate access to information, drugs and diet on diabetes.
SAVING LIFE FOR AFRICA DIABETES FOUNDATION wants to achieve minimal death in Nigeria and indeed Africa by awareness creation, creating affiliate members in Primary, secondary and tertiary institutions, workers group in churches and mosques, market union group and motor park group all these are geared towards carrying on this message.

In order to reach all Nigerians wherever they live, work, play and pray. The foundation has decided to integrate all the teaching and National hospitals in Nigeria as centers for drug distribution and counseling.

1.            Awareness creation on prevention and control of major causes of diabetes

2.            To create awareness on early detection and early intervention

3.            To dispel stigma

4.            To encourage people to disclose their condition rather than hide or pretend about it.

5.            To provide medication and other test kits to indigent patients across Africa

6.            To educate Nigerians and indeed Africans on how to avoid or reduce incidences of Diabetes and measures that can be taken to improve the quality of life for those affected.

7.            To raise funds to purchase medication for those who can not afford them.

8.            To donate drugs to diabetes centers
